1.1 This Contract (“Contract” or “User Agreement” or “Terms”) is issued by Hypocampus AB, org.nr. 559072-5155, Vasagatan 58, 411 37 Göteborg, Sweden, (“Hypocampus”, “we”, “our”, “us”). Hypocampus creates an online study platform and serves digital literature and study tools (“Service”).
1.2 In order to use our Services (described below) you need to be at least 18 years old and/or authorized to enter into an agreement and agree to be bound by the Terms.
1.3 You agree that by clicking “Register”, “Signup”, “Create account” or similar, registering, accessing or using our Services (described below), you are agreeing to enter into a legally binding contract with Hypocampus (even if you are using our Services on behalf of a company). If you do not agree to this contract (“Contract” or “User Agreement”), do not click “Signup” (or similar) and do not access or otherwise use any of our Services. If you wish to terminate this contract, at any time you can do so by closing your account and no longer accessing or using our Services.
Services
This Contract applies to the websites created by Hypocampus AB, hypocampus.se, hypocampus.fr, cortexio.se, cortexio.com, any subdomain to hypocampus.se, hypocampus.fr, cortexio.se or cortexio.com, Hypocampus-based services and other Hypocampus-related sites and apps that state that they are offered under this Contract (“Services”).
By using the Service, you agree to the following:
2.1 You will only use the Service for your own use and you will not allow others to use your account.
2.2 You will not use an account belonging to any person other than yourself, without proper permission.
2.3 You will not use the Service for illegal purposes, including, but not limited to, sending or storing illegal material, such as obscene, threatening, offensive or otherwise illegal or harmful material, including material that is harmful to children or in violation of third party privacy rights, or for fraudulent purposes.
2.4 You will not use the Service to send spam, or repetitive or unwanted messages in violation of applicable law, or otherwise cause inconvenience or irritation.
2.5 You will not impair the operation of, or otherwise attempt to damage, the Service.
2.6 You will not copy or distribute the Service or any of Hypocampus content without the written consent of Hypocampus.
2.7 You will keep your password and the identification we provide you and which gives you access to the Service secure and confidential.
2.8 You will comply with all applicable laws of the country, state or city in which you are currently located when using the Service.
3.1 Hypocampus reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to remove or disable access to content that Hypocampus considers violates the terms, applicable laws or is otherwise harmful to the Service.
3.2 The information and recommendations you receive on or through the Service are only general information and Hypocampus will, to the extent reasonable, keep the Service correct and up to date, but does not guarantee that (the content of) the Service is free from defects or that the Service is updated and correct.
3.3 Hypocampus is not liable for damages arising from the use of (or inability to use) the Service, including damages caused by malicious code, viruses, unless such damages are caused by gross negligence on the part of Hypocampus.
3.4 By accepting these terms and by using the Service, you agree to indemnify and hold Hypocampus, Hypocampus AB, its subsidiaries, licensors, and all its employees, salaried employees, other users, lawyers and agents indemnified and innocent and against all claims, costs, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees and charges) arising out of or in connection with:

violation of any provision of these Terms or any other applicable law or regulation, whether or not mentioned herein;

violation of third party rights,

and misuse of the Service.
3.5 Hypocampus may engage in and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to prosecute a user who violates these terms. You acknowledge that Hypocampus has no obligation to monitor your access to or use of the Service, but has the right to do so in order to operate the Service, to ensure that you comply with these terms or applicable law.
4.1 If you accept these terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service on browsers that you own or control, and with the help of such copy of the Service only for personal use.
4.2 The Content may not be copied, retransmitted, decompiled, disassembled, modified, transferred to other websites, framed, deep-linked to, modified or otherwise distributed, redistributed, licensed, sublicensed or transferred in any form by you.
4.3 Hypocampus respects the copyright and expects its users to do the same. It is Hypocampus' policy to terminate, if applicable, Users who infringe or are believed to infringe copyright.
5.1 Hypocampus alone has all rights, including all related intellectual property rights in the Service and its contents, unless other rights are explicitly stated.
5.2 These Terms do not constitute a sale and do not give you any ownership rights related to the Service or any intellectual property rights owned by Hypocampus. These terms also do not confer any ownership rights related to any intellectual property rights owned by the authors who publish information in Hypocampus
6.1 The agreement between you and Hypocampus is entered into indefinitely.
6.2 You have the right to terminate the agreement with us at any time by sending a notice to us and thereby deactivate the use of the Service.
6.3 You have the right to retrieve the data associated with your user account in a readable format at any time by sending a request to us.
6.4 You have the right to delete the data associated with your user account at any time by sending a request to us.
6.5 Hypocampus has the right to terminate the agreement with you at any time with immediate effect if you violate any of these terms or if Hypocampus considers that you are abusing the Service, or if Hypocampus decides not to provide the service anymore.
